Mental and Emotional Health

Approx. 3 minute read

The times, they are a-changing . . .

Over the past few weeks, humanity’s way of life has been turned upside down. Some might say we’ve even been stopped in our tracks.

It’s a time of uncertainty, worry, and stress for most, yet for others, it seems to be a time of increased peace and joy.

How does the same situation come across so differently for different people?

It’s about perspective, and how each of us chooses to view the world and circumstances in our life.

It seems simple enough. Change your thoughts, perspectives, beliefs, and you change your experience of the world. But theory is different than implementation.

What people need is instruction, practical and easy-to-follow steps to understand and implement as they move through life and its challenges.

At school or at home, I was not taught how to navigate life with my mental and emotional health as a priority. I was not taught tools and concepts to support my mental and emotional well-being – critical thinking and emotional self-regulation.

I had no knowledge of these tools until I found myself in a personal crisis. Addiction and my passion for recovery exposed me to these life-changing tools.

Now, in this extraordinary time, I am inspired to share what I have learned with you.

I will provide a series of articles that will walk you through tools, and concepts that will improve and support your mental and emotional well-being – regardless of circumstances. As a result, you will gain an increased sense of peace, confidence, and self-empowerment.

Although the tools are simple enough, they require effort on your part. And some of the information may make you feel uncomfortable. You will be required to look inward, become aware of your motivations, biases, beliefs and habitual ways of behaving. You may need to make some difficult decisions, consciously choosing behaviors that either help or hinder your emotional and mental well-being.

Because it has always been up to you. However, the difference is now you will have the tools and understanding to make choices that will be aligned with your priorities, authenticity, and overall health.

There is an accompanying workbook that is available if you’re interested. There is no fee. Send me an email at [email protected] and I’ll send you the workbook (it’s in PDF format and can be filled in electronically).

I encourage you to come along and spend time supporting your mental and emotional health. Be the best version of you – for yourself and for others.
